Carpet Bonded Foam is a type of flooring that fuses a durable carpet surface to a layer of polyethylene foam backing. This fusion is typically done using a heat-lamination process, which ensures a strong and permanent bond between the two materials.

1. Top Layer – Carpet Surface:

   • Usually made from 26 oz. needle-punched, low-pile, polypropylene or nylon fiber.

   • Durable and resistant to fraying or tearing.

   • Provides traction and a soft, non-abrasive surface for bare feet or shoes.

2. Bottom Layer – Foam Backing:

   • Typically closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or EVA foam.

   • Ranges in thickness (commonly 1⅜”, 2″, or 2⅜”).

   • Offers shock absorption and impact protection.
