• Foam Layer: Typically made from cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) foam. Thickness ranges from 1-3/8 to 2 inches.

• Carpet Layer: Low-pile, needle-punch 26 oz. carpet usually made from polypropylene fibers. It is flame-laminated or glued to the foam backing.

• Bonding: “Carpet bonded” means the carpet is permanently fused to the foam, creating a unified surface.
